Xiaomi has unveiled the descendant to its Mi 5X which debuted in China in 2017 as the all-new Mi 6X. As the company bring the Mi 5X to India in the form of Mi A1, Xiaomi’s 1st stock Android device in the country with a double camera setup.
It is predictable that the Mi 6X will go after the suit and will be launch in India as the Mi A2. If so, Xiaomi will have one more medium-range device in its portfolio in India that would boast of a stock Android operating system as different to Xiaomi’s own MIUI custom OS.
Just similar to the Mi 5X, the 6X boasts of a dual camera setup at the back. separately from this, what all are the upgrades that the new Xiaomi device carries over its predecessor? Let’s found out in this comparison.
Xiaomi Mi 6X Design:
Following the industry style, Xiaomi has upped the ante in its ‘Mi’ series by going for a close to bezel-less display on its current device.
As opposed to the Mi 5X which approved optimum bezels on both the top and the bottom, the Mi 6X comes with very a smaller amount bezels.
To make this probable, Xiaomi has replaced the capacitive touch keys on the Mi 5X to on-screen touch keys on the Mi 6X.
The top bezel has also been reduced to optimise the display size. The result is a larger, 5.99-inch display as different to the 5.5-inch display on the Mi 5X.
At the back, the dual camera setup on the Mi 5X has now been reposition.
although the Mi 5X sported a horizontal dual camera setup, the setup on the Mi 6X has been united vertically and has been positioned on the top left of the device.
There is also a fingerprint sensor in the middle. The Mi 6X looks more like the Redmi Note 5 Pro from its back than the earlier Mi 5X
Xiaomi has also upgraded the performance factors on the Mi 6X. The smartphone is made by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, a more dominant chipset as the contrast to the Snapdragon 625, the one powering Xiaomi Mi 5X.
The RAM options on the Mi 6X comprise both a 4GB RAM and a 6GB RAM variant jointly with storage options of 64GB and 128GB. In India, the only one option obtainable of the Mi A1 comes with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 6X Battery Life:
The Xiaomi Mi 6X comes with a 3,010mAh battery, which is not fixed, as this is a metal unibody smartphone. This battery is not one of the important ones out there, but it’s not accurately that small either.
It is value noting that the Mi 6X comes with a fullHD+ display, and a power competent Snapdragon 660 chip, so chances are that this battery will be well sufficient for the device, presuming that MIUI is well-optimized, of course. Wireless charging is not obtainable on the Mi 6X, which was to be predictable because of this phone’s build, metal all around. Fast charging, on the other hand, is built-in, and we’re looking at Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging tech.
